Traditional social media platforms are not designed with professional networking in mind. They are often cluttered with advertisements, sponsored content, and algorithms that decide what posts you see. As a result, valuable discussions and updates can quickly disappear from your feed, making it frustrating to relocate content you found useful or wanted to share with others.

The Coral Reef Research Hub was built differently. Our platform features detailed, searchable member profiles designed specifically to encourage meaningful networking and collaboration. There is no advertising, and no algorithms controlling your feed. Posts are displayed chronologically in the order they were shared and remain exactly where you last saw them, making it easy to revisit conversations, discover opportunities, and stay connected with the community.

Employers on the platform will have access to enhanced profile search tools, allowing them to identify individuals with the skills and experience they need and contact them directly through our integrated messaging system. Is there a fee to join?

We have recently introduced a small one-time fee of US$1.99 for new Basic Membership registrations, which provides access to our professional networking platform. While Basic Membership was previously free, the continued growth of our community has unfortunately also led to an increase in spam registrations. With the launch of our mobile app fast approaching, we are taking proactive steps to protect and strengthen the quality and integrity of our community. However, we are always happy to provide free access to our networking pages if you have financial limitations, so please reach out if you need to!
